SHOW UP NEARBY FAQ

Clear answers before you get started.

Learn how the platform works, which plan fits, what setup requires, and when a human steps in to help.

01

What is Show Up Nearby?

Show Up Nearby helps local field service businesses turn legitimate work activity into consistent, location-based content and a stronger digital footprint. The customer dashboard brings recommendations, reporting, education, account support, and service progress together in one place.

02

What is Nearby Proof?

Nearby Proof is the publishing section inside your Show Up Nearby dashboard, included with every paid plan. It helps teams turn real job photos, accurate locations, and approved descriptions into content for connected business profiles. Publishing a job supports ongoing visibility activity, but it does not guarantee rankings or leads.

03

Which businesses are the best fit?

Nearby Proof is for local businesses with real work to share. A Google Business Profile is optional. Publishing to Google requires an eligible profile and an authorized connection; other supported destinations have their own requirements.

04

What do the three plans include?

Every plan includes Nearby Proof, all eight connections and unlimited team seats. Presence is $79 per paid location each month with 60 AI actions and human review within 24 business hours. Momentum is $199 with 120 AI actions and review within 12 business hours, plus heat maps, monthly reporting and guidance. Growth is $299 with 250 AI actions and review within 1 to 4 business hours, plus proactive objectives, and we write your directory post from what you send us. One completed suggestion uses one AI action, and monthly allowances do not roll over or trigger automatic overage charges.

05

Which platforms and tools are supported?

Current capabilities include Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, website widgets, contact requests, scheduled posts, team access, and moderation. Each network requires authorization and has its own media rules.

06

What happens after payment?

You complete a short business onboarding and can enter the Show Up Nearby dashboard immediately. Connect the destinations you want to use in Nearby Proof. A Google profile is optional. Provider authorization and any assisted setup are separate steps; payment alone does not connect your social accounts.

07

Does Show Up Nearby take ownership of my Google Business Profile?

No. Your business remains the owner, and we do not need owner or manager access to your profile. You connect it yourself in Nearby Proof. Google offers one permission for this, which covers managing the profile; we use it only to list your locations so you can choose one, to publish the posts you approve, to show your reviews and post the replies you approve, and to read how many times each post we published was viewed on Google Search and had its button clicked. If you would like our team to help set it up, we do so only with your agreement and use that access only for what you asked.

08

What can I do on the web app and phone app?

Use Nearby Proof in your phone, tablet, or desktop browser to capture work, review content, and publish or schedule to connected destinations. A phone app is in development; store apps are not yet available. Keep the browser tab open while uploading media.

09

Can my team have access?

Yes. Plans include unlimited seats. Workspace administrators manage invitations, users can work across the locations they are authorized to access, and moderation may require an administrator to approve team submissions before publishing.

10

Do you guarantee rankings, calls, leads, or revenue?

No. Show Up Nearby provides software, publishing workflows, reporting, and human guidance. Google, competition, market conditions, content quality, and customer behavior affect results, so we do not guarantee rankings, calls, leads, traffic, conversions, or revenue.

11

How does support work?

Our AI assistant is available 24/7 for known questions, safe troubleshooting, and gathering useful context. When a person is better suited, human follow-up is provided within 24 hours; technical work may occur on business days. Security, ownership, legal, privacy, billing-dispute, refund, and cancellation matters always go to a human.

12

How do billing, cancellations, and refunds work?

Each location may have its own monthly subscription. The billing portal, opened from Workspace settings under Plan & billing with Manage all billing, provides payment-method, invoice, and receipt access and lets you cancel a location’s subscription yourself, effective at the end of the current paid period. You can also email support@showupnearby.com and a person completes the cancellation for you. Refunds, credits, compensation, disputed charges, and account-specific billing adjustments always require human review. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy for details.
