Accounts, authority, and eligibility
You must provide accurate information, use only accounts and business profiles you are authorized to manage, and protect passwords and one-time links. The service is designed for authorized adult business users. A Google Business Profile is optional for account setup. Google publishing requires an active, eligible profile and approved access. Restrictions on one provider do not establish eligibility for other destinations.
Plans, locations, and recurring billing
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions charged per business location. Each location may have a separate subscription, goals, reporting, and Nearby Proof setup. Before checkout, we display the plan, recurring price, billing frequency, and material conditions. By completing checkout, you authorize the displayed monthly charge until the affected subscription is canceled. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Google Business Profile access and ownership
You remain the owner of your Google Business Profile and connected business accounts. Show Up Nearby does not manage your Google Business Profile and does not need owner or manager access to it. Connecting it in Nearby Proof grants our app the one permission Google offers for this, which covers managing the profile; we use it only to list your locations so you can choose one, to publish the posts you approve, to show your reviews and post the replies you approve, and to read how often each post we published was viewed on Google Search and had its button clicked, as our Privacy Notice describes. If you ask our team to help, for example to connect it for you, we act only with your agreement and only for what you asked. We will not advise creating duplicate profiles or bypassing Google policies.
Customer content and publishing
You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant us permission to store, process, display, adapt, and transmit that content as needed to provide the service. You represent that job photos, locations, customer information, reviews, and descriptions are truthful, permissioned, privacy-safe, and compliant with connected-platform rules. Content must not fabricate work, expose personal information, or make deceptive claims. AI rewriting assists with drafting; you remain responsible for accuracy and approval.
Connected platforms and publishing on your behalf
When you connect an account in Nearby Proof, you authorize Show Up Nearby to act as your agent to publish to that account, and to read the information described in our Privacy Notice, on your behalf and at your direction. We publish only content you approve: each post is approved by a person authorized in your workspace, who publishes or schedules it or approves a team member’s submission, and we do not publish anything automatically without that approval. AI suggestions are never published unless a person approves them, and review replies are posted only after a person in your workspace approves them. When our staff help you through support, they publish only content you have asked us to publish.
You are responsible for following the rules of each platform you connect, for the account and for everything you publish there. In particular:
- Google Business Profile: the Google Business Profile policies.
- Facebook, Instagram and Threads: the Meta Platform Terms and the Meta Commercial Terms.
- TikTok: TikTok’s Terms of Service. By posting to TikTok through Nearby Proof, you agree to TikTok’s Music Usage Confirmation.
- LinkedIn: when you connect LinkedIn, you agree to the LinkedIn Pages Terms.
- Pinterest: Pinterest’s Terms of Service.
- YouTube: by using YouTube features in Nearby Proof, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
We may pause or disconnect a connected account, or decline to publish a post, when a platform requires it, when your authorization or the platform’s rules no longer allow it, or to protect your account or the service. We will tell you when we do.
Google Business Profile is a free service from Google. Our fees are for Show Up Nearby’s software and services, not for Google Business Profile itself; you do not need to pay us to have or manage one. Google explains what to expect from a third party that manages a profile in its notice Working with a third party.
If we make a change to your Google Business Profile on your behalf, such as adding or removing a manager or updating your business information, we will tell you within 48 hours of the change, separately from any notice Google sends. You can stop our access at any time by disconnecting the account in Nearby Proof. If you gave us manager or owner access to your profile, we remove it within 7 business days after you ask, so you keep exclusive control.
AI-assisted service and human review
Show Up Nearby may use an AI assistant to answer known questions, collect context, provide approved guidance, send approved links, create support records, and help arrange appointments. The assistant identifies itself as AI and does not make final decisions about legal matters, privacy, security, ownership, billing disputes, refunds, compensation, custom pricing, or cancellation completion. Those matters require a person.
Acceptable use
Do not upload malware, unlawful or infringing content, unnecessary sensitive data, deceptive reviews, fabricated jobs or locations, or content intended to manipulate platforms unlawfully. Do not bypass access controls, probe other accounts, share another person’s sign-in link, resell access without permission, or interfere with service availability.
Copyright and content complaints
If you believe that content published through Show Up Nearby—on a business page in our directory, a website widget, a guide, or a post published for a customer—infringes your copyright or other rights, send a notice to our designated agent. Our designated agent to receive notifications of claimed infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is: Copyright Agent, Show Up Nearby LLC, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States; phone 307-313-1024; email support@showupnearby.com. This designation is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (DMCA-1082186). For a copyright notice, include:
- your name, address, phone number and email;
- the copyrighted work you believe was infringed;
- where the material appears, with a link if possible;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
We review every notice, may remove or disable access to the material, and tell the customer who published it. That customer may send a counter-notice to the same address with the information the law requires, and we may restore the material where the law allows. We end the accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate. Content already published on another platform is also subject to that platform’s own reporting process.
Third-party platforms and no guaranteed outcomes
Connected platforms control their own availability, policies, verification, suspensions, reach, and results. We provide software, publishing workflows, directional reporting, and guidance, but do not guarantee rankings, calls, leads, traffic, conversions, revenue, reinstatement, or uninterrupted service. To the extent allowed by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected service during the prior three months; some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations.
Cancellation, refunds, suspension, and account access
You can cancel a location’s subscription yourself in Workspace settings, under Plan & billing, through Manage all billing, which opens our billing portal; you can also email support@showupnearby.com and a person completes the cancellation for you. A cancellation made in the billing portal takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and Plan & billing then shows that date as Access through. A cancellation requested by email is complete when Show Up Nearby confirms it, and also takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Refunds, credits, compensation, disputed charges, proration, and account-specific adjustments require human review under our Refund and Cancellation Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud, abuse, security risk, nonpayment, or unlawful use.
